THE IMPACT OF FOOD HYGIENE PRACTICES IN THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DIARRHOEA AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

 

 

ABSTRACT:

 

This work discusses the impact of food hygiene practices in the prevention and control of diarrhoea among primary school children. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were shared amongst parents and teachers of selected primary schools. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.

 

Primary and secondary data were used the analysis. Both frequency distribution and regression analysis were used.

 

It was observed therefore that food hygiene practices have a significant positive impact in the prevention and control of diarrhea among primary school children. Also, there is a strong positive relationship between food hygiene practices and the control of diarrhea among primary school children.
